Friday News 4/10-4/14

Welcome back from Spring Break! We had a great first week back together again!

Thank you also for all of the Teacher Appreciation gifts this week! It is a joy and privilege to work with each of your children every day!

Here's a look at our week:

Reading: We started learning about Author's Purpose or why the author wrote the story. We learned that authors write to persuade, inform, and entertain us. We also looked at examples of books that would fit in each of these categories.

Writing: We wrote about what we did over Spring Break! We made a list of things that we did, picked four to write about, and also drew pictures to go with each memory.

Math: We started learning about Time. We learned how to tell time to the hour and half hour. We also worked on answering story problems about time.

Bible: We finished learning about Passion Week. We learned about how Jesus died on the cross to save us from all the wrong things we have done. We also learned that He was buried in a tomb, but three days later rose from the dead. Because Jesus died and came back to life, if we believe in Him we can have a relationship with God again.
